Rare Disease Day 2025

Rare Diseases NSW regularly host events for the rare disease community, health professionals, researchers, and students. This year, Rare Diseases NSW hosted two days of special events to mark international Rare Disease Day

The events held on Friday 28th February and Saturday 1st March were proudly supported by Rare Diseases NSW, UNSW Sydney, Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, the 22q Foundation Australia & New Zealand, Genetic Alliance Australia, and SATB2 Connect

Clinical Day: How You Can Shape the Future of Rare Disease

Our special clinical education day was held on Friday 28th February.

Researchers, clinicians and service providers at the cutting edge of rare disease care shared their insights. We also heard from award-winning photographer Rick Guidotti, founder of Positive Exposure

This family-friendly event on Saturday 1st March brought together people living with a rare disease, health professionals, and the wider community to connect, share, and inspire.
